I have been googling for a ceramic water filter - one of those aesthetically-pleasing terracotta ones rather than a nasty plastic job. And I stumbled upon this. I am somehow delighted to discover that such a group exists. Long may they last.
And I think I want to live in New York. Any state (hey, any country!) that has a mermaid parade is my kind of place.

Perhaps not Coney Island.
I love when a parade has a queen. by which I mean: a young woman who rides on the back of a convertible, in a gown and crown, waving.
I would have loved to have been the queen of a parade, in a tiara.
No? Why not Coney Island? Do tell. It sounds more interesting than your usual American parade (having experienced one or two myself in 19982) and definitely more interesting than Melbourne's own Moomba Parade ...
I meant, of course, 1982.
Well, just for the day maybe, but not to LIVE.
Kind of "down and dirty."
No one lives there -- you could live in Brooklyn Heights and overlook the city...or in some quaint seaside town like http://everyday.blogs.com/humble/.
I'll bet they have a parade where all the little children dress like mermaids.
I hope you are well!
