colour in the garden

Winter is officially over. It wasn't all bad.

I only got one winter iris bloom this year. Must be time to shock them into submission by dividing the whole huge clump and threatening them with the compost bin.

The euphorbia wulfenii with their brilliant lime-green bracts made up for the iris.

And now the glorious clivias are heralding the arrival of the warmer weather.

Beautiful flowers and photos. I love the iris - I have a few which surprise me every spring and almost get overlooked until I notice them.

I like your self-portrait. It's like a wacky Statue of Liberty.

Today there are no words here - literally. All the children are back at school and I have peace and quiet. Silence is golden sometimes.
