I think they must be insect eggs. In the late summer and fall here, all the fallen leaves are covered with them also--they are smooth instead of crinkled here, though.
LOL My immediate thought was similiar to erica's... You can always say you live down the road from 'The Mob'... That would sort your friends out pretty quick...

At first I thought the spinning was a cocoon.. I had to look twice.
-am very pleased to hear that the mob of kangaroos aren't an actual MOB ! :)

eeww to the leaf with the growths. eeww.
my word verification is tbtiylc, which i think sounds like a good name for mutant leaf disease.
Those are all fine pics. You've a very good eye, yes. I love the spinning. Beautiful!
I think you must live in paradise. Even the mutations are beautiful!
Some other word options for mob: agglomeration, assemblage, assortment, band, batch, bevy, blob, bouquet, bunch, bundle, caboodle, chunk, clump, cluster, covey, crew, crowd, fascicle, flock, galaxy, gang, gathering, group, heap, host, hunk, knot, lot, mass, mess, mob, multitude, number, oodles, pack, parcel, party, passel, pile, quantity, sheaf, shebang, shock, spray, stack, swarm, team, thicket, troop, tuft, tussock... ...but I think my fave is congregation. The congregation of roos.
