We’re heading off for five days of camping on the coast, partly to rejuvenate and partly to escape the madness that is the Commonwealth Games. So until next week, goodbye and gobblers.*
I leave you with a photograph.
* Son #1 once asked my mother, Nana, why do you always say goodbye and gobblers? She replied through tears of laughter It’s god bless, my love. God bless.
Hmmm...insanity of the games. Our wee city Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada is in the bidding for the 2014 Games. Your city population is 10 times bigger than Halifax. Our mayor and the bid committee are in your city to get a behind-the-scenes perspective on the planning and staging of the games. http://www.2014halifax.com/
blogger has been eating my comment attempts. Your photo is beautiful. God's country. You take amazing pictures, my friend. Gobblers, Gobblers, Gobblers!!!
by the way, i love this blog. i love your random comments, the colorful photos, the humor and wit, the daily ins and outs. i will be linking to you on my blog, daintee, if you don't mind! thanks!
What a beautiful picture. Number one son is so cute with the Gobblers - kids hear things differently then us - or do they - I have had my share of mispronouced and misunderstood words. Have a nice restful trip.

Gobblers to you, too! Have fun :-D
I am jealous of you leaving me in a town full of crazy athletes who need their own driving lanes....
