Do you have any idea how hard it is to photograph your own legs?

uneven socks

(For L, who asked to see the socks ON).

I didn't notice until I downloaded the pic that one sock was pulled up higher than the other. My cardigan was probably misbuttoned too, but you'll never know.t

Leg self-portraits - sure there's a flickr group in that! Lovely socks.

I just saw a $200 purposely mis-buttoned cardi.
So.
Ahead of the trend...

Isn't that Opal yarn so clever. Sometimes the knitter is not so clever, the ball that I bought was a self striping pattern instead of the fairisle. Doh! foiled again.

Oh my, I ADORE those! I am so impressed, did you really make them? You are so, SO clever!

What happens if you're not Pea Soup but are instead Ladies Lounge and prone to misreading patterns? Do you end up with clever socks that spell "John is dead" backwards?

reading your post, I looked down to check, and discovered that I just went out shopping with my jumper on inside out......sigh.

Bec, only if you wear them inside out.

Like country and western records in which, if played backwards, the dog comes back to life and the wife returns.

Beautiful socks. I would not have the patience!
Query? How long do hand made socks last? I wonder how the wool holds up against wear and tear around heels and toes?

Lovely socks. Your patience is to be commended, I tend to make shorter socks than that due to boredom. Gotta love that self-striping yarn though.

Herhimnbryn,
The yarn has nylon blended in with it to help it last longer as socks. Handknit socks, when well-cared for, can last for years.

Yes, I know how hard it is to get that digital camera down at that level and still be able to see through it. I just tried it today. I must say, your results outpass mine. That must mean you have more patience than I do.
