Well, being from the wrong side of the world, I'm not sure I know the tune, so I hummed along to the tune of this ditty: "give me a home where the buffalo roam and the deer and the antelope play. Where seldom is heard a discouraging word, and the sky is not cloudy all day." It's very American...
The veranda is almost a cookie cutter of one I had as a child. Wow, the memories have flooded back. Thank you!

SUCH a lovely home. No, it doesn't seem like eight months from here, either!
ps - and drat you for sticking that song in my head at this close to bed time!!
Can I come live with you? What a wonderful place to have a home!
I love your verandah. I would spend all my days sitting there.
I'll think of something to say..........

any minute now.
I do believe I'm gobsmacked.
You have a lovely home.
See, Martina and I think alike.
We'll call you from the airport and we promise not to stay too long and we'll even do dishes and not leave sopping wet towels on the bathroom floor.
We just really, really, rilly want to sit with you on the veranda and knit and look at that incredible view you've teased us with.
Ok?

Thanks for sharing your adventure. It's been so fun watching the seasons change in reverse on the other side of the world.

I think it's great you made the change! I've been quite jealous of your lifestyle these past eight months. Congratulations!
