a milestone

first tooth at last

This has been a long time coming.

Son #3 has found it humiliating still having all his baby teeth at the ripe old age of seven (his older brothers both lost their first teeth when they were four or five). He and one other boy in his class were the last two to lose a tooth; they have each had a wobbly one for weeks now. Every morning at line-up they would rush to compare wiggles until finally Son #3's came out, and the next day so did the other child's.

I got to write 68 on the board, Mum! It was soooo cool!*

I hope he's not too ancient for the tooth fairy to visit?

My Littlest was/is slow to lose her teeth as well.
Some of her classmates wiggled their teeth out quite agressively but she could never bring herself to do this.
A parent told her losing your teeth late makes for very strong new teeth. Sounds like an old wive's tale to me but it made her feel better. I just wish it made them grow in straighter!

maybe he'll lose another soon and can say all he wants for christmas is his two front teeth! (ba-da-da-dum)

Strong adult teeth for him! He'll be able to brag about it when he is older and his brothers' teeth start decaying!

Oh! Congrats, #3! I remember how anxiously I awaited the tooth-losing. Mine, I mean, not Primo's, not yet.

Wow! Miss E (nearly five) must be almost at the tooth-losing stage. I have to admit I find wobbly teeth a little bit gross, but I'll try to keep that to myself when the toothfairy comes visiting :)

Oh, we've got a 'barely loose' tooth in this house. On Oldest. (It is not barely loose. I am lying to my son. His YOUNGER brother has lost one, soon to be TWO, teeth. His YOUNGER brother is bigger, too.) Anywho, I sent heartleft CONGRUTULATIONS to Numero Tres on the stupendous loss of his First Tooth.
And I am going on record as saying I am taking the pliers to Oldest's first even slightly loose tooth, and I bet the little devil doesn't even say "OW!" much less cry.

Felix lost his four bottom teeth as if they were in a race. Seriously, he lost two on the one day. But that's been it. He's 6.5.

But if your youngest is slow to lose teeth, Jasper is the slowest to find them. Seriously, he's one in two weeks and has two teeth. That's it.

What a cool idea - a tooth tally! I'm glad son #3 could finally add to it (it can't be fun being not having lost a tooth when everyone else already has...)

My middle son was almost 8 before his first tooth fell out. It was AGONY to him. And now son number three is looking for a loose tooth. He is six next month, and we keep trying to make one wiggle.. the dentist predicts it will be another 6 months or so.

Congrats to him. Do you do the tooth fairy thing?

My magpie, who is but 4,keeps testing all of her teeth as she is envious of the gryphon, who is nearly 8 and has been quite a frequent stop on the tooth fairy route. Instead of loose teeth, she has a molar coming in. Unfortunately for her, I haven't taken up playing the molar fairy!

I sent a global priority mail packet your way a couple of days ago. :>
