Ta-ra

Upon returning from holiday, we have

Played cricket
Watched the cricket
Bought bunk beds at Ikea
Gazed bemusedly at the allen key accompanying the bunk beds
Sweltered in the heat
Watched Elvis fly overhead
Swum in the river
Read books (Bill Bryson’s Life and Times of the Thunderbolt Kid)
Done lots and lots of washing

washday

and are about to go away again.

This time to our friends who are once again staying at their holiday house (the one with the curtains).

I shall return next week.

I think you have a pink/pastel theme happening on your washing line, it all looks so......fresh.

Now, Soup Lady have a lovely time away, but please remember to be a good guest and wash your own thongs!:)

How did you like the new Bill Bryson? We've been dipping in and out, laughing.

Yes, how is the new Bill Bryson? I've been choking over the $27 US price, though I've been tempted. . .

And speaking of temptation. . .Thou shalt not covet thy friend's beach house curtains.

Have a wonderful time!

Have a nice break!

Atomic Textiles on eBay has THAT curtain fabric - and many more equally luscious vintage prints. I have one piece that I thought I'd hang on the wall but it is living under my laptop instead because it makes me smile more there...

Have a lovely time - hope you got my text about our changed plans?

We are in the market for Ikea bunk beds so if you figure out how to assemble yours then head north and start working on ours! ;)

Yes, friends at the beach are GREAT! In fact I must contact our friends at the beach ....

Ooh, we recently bought an IKEA bunkbed. Which one did you buy? We bought the one which has one mattress actually on the floor, so the whole thing wouldn't be too tall. Our youngest is not yet 4, so that seemd safer. The girls love it!.
