Really? No eggs? No butter? Really?!
I'm off to try it.
Your photos always make me hungry!
Wow, that's one super easy cake. And yeah I'm stumped by the no butter or eggs thing too.
Suse.
GET
TO
WORK
!!
(Nice strawberry)
wow, great recipe! and exactly the kind of thing I'd like to make this afternoon for the kids, but I didn't have a recipe. Was in the kitchen looking at the dried apricots and wondering! Thanks for linking all the info to do with Steiner schools, they really interest me, except we'd probably have to move (or I'd have to spend hours driving each day)which I don't want to do. Food for thought anyway.
Just love that strawberry!
I have given up eating cake.
Good Grief! the WV is ppbum!
Oh to be capable of knitting a strawberry...I'm jealous now.
Mouthwatering cakes and rolls, and I'd expect juice from that strawberry if I squeezed...
I remember essays due; the pain and the pleasure of procrastination. Even dusting was fun. And the crappiest of television became so alluring.
Nothing like a deadline.
Thanks for the recipe. Perfect for me to do when I should be preparing for our audit...
And I thought that I was the Queen of procrastination!!! A truly stellar effort. Cake looks like something I might even be able to manage at present. Thanks for sharing. Good luck with deadline!
Those rolls look quite stellar, too.
Is the strawberry a pincushion a la Martha Stewart?
Only four blogs?
That is amazing self restraint.
you never know how much stuff needs to be done around the house until you have a big deadline looming.
seriously.
I need my hand held just a bit more.....what temperature for 45mins?!
Mouth watering in anticipation, no butter sounds just my thing...
No eggs?
Oh, your day reminds me of my student years. My home was never so tidy! Essays were always last on my list!
Sounds really happy, your business of busyness.
Oh yum! I'm salivating over that photo. And the strawberry is a delight.
Had morning tea at my girlfriend's this morning and she made your cake and it is truly delicious. Tasted like lamingtons, only better (she used coconut and easter egg chocolate). I've told her to leave a comment...
That does it - anything that tastes remotely like a lamington - I'm there. Printing required as soon as I finish commenting!
I am in raptures over the strawberry. I bowl full of knitted strawberries - a girl can dream :-)
just baked a thousand loaves of cranberry/pecan bread - but will try your cake this afternoon. yum. it's the coconut that tips the scales for me.
now get to work, young lady!
Oh, you're such a bad influence.
A bad and wonderful influence.
I keep coming back to the strawberry.
So marvelous!
wow, I tried it and now I've made it three times in the last 24 hours! The kids love it!
How's the deadline going?
I made the cake! It was lovely - used half coconut and half oatbran (because I ran out of coconut) and baked in a medium oven for 45 mins. Delicious.... but....
the left over cake was even MORE divine the next day when toasted and buttered (okay, okay, like any of us need the cholesterol!) but really - the fresh cake on day one was really really nice. But oh, make two and try it the next day toasted! It is SUBLIME!
I've got one in the cake tin right now waiting for tomorrow...
Moderate oven (180 C).
Strawberry pattern here.
Love it when you've got essays due.
You get so damn productive.
Thanks for the strawberry pattern! They are so cute. I am looking forward to trying them!
Hiya
Thanks for oven temperature, now I have no excuses so tomorrow is cake baking day, yum!
Ah, a procrastinator after my own heart.
That cake was the perfect antidote to my work today and it was delicious to boot. Thanks!
Knit a strawberry- hee!

I have a "profound and abiding comprehension" of what you're talking about! :)

Love those alpaca wristwarmers..they'd be enough to distract me for days, let alone the baking.
