So the school holidays are over and we’re back in routine, already feeling like the spiral towards Christmas has begun.

I haven’t shown you my office view before, have I? I job-share and office-share with a lovely chap. He works three days a week and I work the other two, so mostly we each get the office to ourselves although every now and then we overlap when there’s a meeting we both have to attend. But mostly I get this view to myself. If he’s not there I have to call out to the poor souls who inhabit the windowless ‘open plan’ part of the office to come to the outer edges and look at the fire engine/car crash/window cleaners/rainbow.
I have a crazy few weeks coming up, so will keep reminding myself that school holiday lazing by the river in the city like this will happen again … it will, it will, it must, it must.

You had to mention the spiral toward Christmas?
Good view though...
Ahh, pictures of spring... we're having a very (even by NW US standards) fall so I'm greedily peering at any and all pics of rainbows, sun, dry ground...
I meant rainy. Very rainy. (sigh)
What a perfectly lovely office view. My office has such a dirty window that I cant see out of it.
LOVE the river photo. What an adorable picture.
An amazing rainbow, as they all are.
Stunning, and nearly no traffic to boot. Lucky you!
Gorgoeus view! Sounds like a great job to boot !
My company were more than happy to take me back, provided I check the child at the door and go back to 8-6, 5 days. Yeah.
I'm not ready for Xmas. I think I may run away .. or lock the doors, and enjoy the peace and goodwill alone :)
That was an amazing rainbow wasn't it?
Had to laugh at your 'lazy' photo. I constantly take pictures of myself in supine position, showing shoes and skirt. We should start a Flickr group ;-)
Geat view.
Nice feet. ;)
I had no idea you were one of the people that couldn't comment on my blog, and am very happy that now you can again.
Yes, a post with a picture of the little mushrooms will be next. (I have a few in the pipeline, but since you asked so nicely, I'll do that one first.)
Wow, that's a lovely view. My office looks over the Warrigal Road railway bridge. Tres glam!
I love lazing by the river, in fact I love lazing anywhere.
Cute skirt too!
I love Autumn in Melbourne but up here in Sydney Spring is best. I'm not looking forward to the end of the holidays, the downhill spiral to Christmas, the final fundraising activities at the school, being a taxi-driver mum. Oh well best go outside and enjoy the day.
Christmas?!? Eep. Best get organised then.
What a lovely view, I'd never get any work done....
i know!!the run to christmas has begun, where do i get off!!love your shoes!
Wonderful rainbow!
pretty views...
I love school holidays too.
No hurry to get up and going for the day, staying in pj's till lunchtime, just generally taking a break from that frantic world we live in most of the time. Roll on christmas hols I say.
Cheers
beautiful photos. sort of broad and happy and relaxed, all three.
this letter verification is funny:
ofszue
Was that the rainbow from the other day? Beautiful. Oh, and i LOVE your word 'farnarkling'. May have to borrow it sometime as it seems like it would describe so much!
Rainbows, love em, etc etc.
But am I such a girl that my first thought after sighing at the idyllic by the river picture is what a cute purse!!
Beautiful, relaxing photo. And what an amazing photo. We'd never see the length of a rainbow here in Sydney.
