The nine year old visited the local children's farm yesterday as part of the Class 3 farming lesson block.
And met the pig who plays Wilbur in Charlotte's Web. (It was filmed in Melbourne).
"It's a girl pig, called Angie. And it just lay there. No backflips, nothing."

i am extremely disappointed to hear so.
And there I was, trying to imagine what celebrity porcupines were in existence. Must pay closer attention.
I like your new banner. I miss these things when using the reader instead of going straight to your blog.
oh how fun...even without the backflips... i actually knew it was filmed there...at least in the back of my mind i knew it!
Yes, new banner quite spiffy, and gothic, too.
Ooh, I see the new woman theme has moved to the blog header. Very cool. Very gothic. (Verry nutty, tee hee). As for poor Angie. She was probably tired. Celebrities do get a bit fussy with all that attention. It's hard to backflip every day.
I can hear the balloon pop from here.
The Awful Truth that even pigs are real people behind all that fame and celebrity.
It's hard, growing up, isn't it?
Well, clearly Angie is resting on her celebrity laurels. She won't be getting any more plum pig parts if she doesn't act up a little.
Same thing happened to me when I met George Clooney. I mean, really, just one teeny weeny backflip isn't too much to ask, is it?
I'd be pigged off too.
What good are farm animals if they don't do tricks, I ask you ?
Catching up and very interested to see your photo. I hadn't realised you were quite so beautiful. Artistic, funny, articulate - and beautiful too. I'm a bit awed.
Oh god, Isabelle! I am NOT beautiful, believe me. That's why it's a teeny tiny picture.
It also took about eleventy nine shots before I got one that didn't make me cringe.
(But thank you).
What a massive let down... Did you see the spider? You ARE a beauty!
What a disappointment. Although, I do love this post.
Wrong movie, I know, but I was thinking:
"That won't do pig....that won't do."
-J.
That is completely priceless. I can hear the utter dismay. "And it just lay there" Hysterical.
How disappointing for all concerned.
Including the pig..
