getting my new bathers wet. It's all go around here.

I'm exhausted.

Edited to say: I know, I know, it looks terrifying. The pictures are misleading somehow but I can assure you that the sand hill right next to the river was very steep and high, and about six inches offshore the water depth dropped sharply so that you couldn't even touch the bottom. Earlier we had seen teenagers doing backflips and all sorts of death defying feats into the water. I forbade mine to do somersaults and flips (and thus am now officially the meanest mum in the world) but allowed them to bomb, jump and dive.

Ah, summer! So good to see someone enjoying beautiful weather. Here in New Jersey my world is all ice and snow.

Love that last photo of you diving into the water! You really captured it at the perfect moment.

I adore these action photos! Particularly the one of you diving and the boys running, kicking up sand. Ah, I miss summer. :)

Great photos - all of them - although I adore the boy's eyes!

Love those bathers too!

Photos are lovely. Makes me want to dash off to the travel agent and book a flight to somewhere where they have never heard of ice and snow.

Look at that big beautiful sky. There must be a fair sand shelf on that last pic for you to be diving in like that. Eeek. Looks like a recipe for disaster otherwise.

Lovely photos. The last photo was taken at exactly the right time. But please tell me, the drop underwater was steep where you were diving in?

OMG - look at your svelte form !

I took some pics in my knicks today. As expected, the camera didn't lie, but it was still a shock to my eyes.

Amazing piccies ( did you get that new camera in the end, I can't remember ? )

The water does not look deep enough for diving....I want to know what happened 10 secs later?

Thank you for reminding me what is is my future in a few months. As I sit here in northern New York State it is 22 degrees below zero, and seeing your beautiful photos helps me to remember this won't last forever. Enjoy the sun, the sand and your family.
