Gastro: a tale bullet points

• the littlest fella spent a couple of hours in Sick Bay today until I could get to school to pick him up

• we are not generally a vomitty family so we are not coping well

• oh the laundry!

• and the smell that permeates the house

• the pitiful moaning, the wan, pinched little face

• the feverish little body lies on the couch, swathed in a snuggly handmade blue and green quilt, (so I guess it's not all bad)

Oh poor little fella. Gastro is ghastly. Hope its a 12 hour bug and is nearly finished.

Oh dear. I hope he's on the mend soon and that no one else gets it!

You know you're really someone's Mum when you can clean up the puke without puking yourself !
I hope he's feeling a lot better soon and that you don't , overnight , become a very vomitty family .

my boy is off sick this week with a tummy bug. It really knocks them for six, poor wee things.

Hope he feels better soon! We've been dealing with a touch of it here over the last few weeks with both kiddies. Ugh.

We have just come out the other side thank goodness - thought it was never going to end! Hope yours is over and done with soon and you get to enjoy some cuddles under that gorgeous quilt!

Feel for you all....gastro is not a fun experience for anyone involved. Hope your weekend is better.

One word: Gastrolyte. Best stuff on the planet. (If you're not a vomitty family you may not know about this stuff.) It says on the box that it's for babies but ignore that. It won't stop him barfing but it will rehydrate him and made him feel much better in between puking.

Ditto re Gastrolyte and the Purple hydralite iceblocks.

Best wishes for a speedy recovery and hopes that it is confined - not nice when Mum and Dad are ill also!

Hope your little one is better! By the way, I have found a few drops of lavender essential oil--on the babe, the clothes, whatever--go a long way toward getting rid of that smell.
