Happy Solstice! That's a beautiful picture of the light, balanced by shadow. Just right for a solstice.

Happy Solstice to you too Suse, from the other side of the globe. I can't believe we're heading back toward darkness already! Blessings to you and yours.

No no, we're keeping the light right here! You can't have it! Have some Gorgonzola instead.

Same back atcha, gal pal. Beautiful light. I want your solstice, please, not my hot, drippy, cranky (but fortunately air-conditioned) one.

Blessings for Solstice. We are having a perfect warm sunny summer day here. Ah.

Btw, are those floors hard on slippers? Our flagstone floor is.

Oh yay! A little bit more sunlight each day.

Just when you think you can't take any more of the days getting shorter, the solstice arrives. Nature is a marvel.

Gorgeous piccies as usual. You really are getting rather good at capturing a mood lady.

thanks for your congrats - I'm now juggling two little tackers and wondering how grey Im' going to go in the ensuing melee.

Thankyou for reminding me .... it's downhill till December !
Mind you , I'll be delighted if the light was as pretty here mid-winter .

Beautiful photo of the warm golden light on the brick. My husband and I married on the Winter solstice, but up here that's Dec 21 so we just had the Summer solstice and the longest day.

Yay, I always love photos of the light in your house Suse. Am so into the brick floor too. Am proud to be aclimatising to the Melbourne seasons.
