The broken wing is slowly mending within its lime green, glow-in-the-dark fingers to shoulder casing. Did I tell you it ended up being a three day hospital stay? However he was in the teenage ward with two anorexic girls who looked as though they'd been there for some weeks, which puts broken bones into perspective, really. We are grateful, all up.
In other news, the cat improves daily and our scars are fading.
As you can see we've even progressed to upside down chin scratches which is something no one would have dared even contemplate a month ago. We pick him up quite fearlessly these days. So brave!

Your poor broken-winged boy. Three days is pretty big to have your boy in hostibal.
As for Yuki, swoon. He is lovely. My poor boy is looking very scraggy in comparison, can't wait for him to get the gloss back in his coat like yours has.
I could eat that cat with a spoon. Delish!
When I was growing up, we had a siamese who would let me know when he was finished with my petting by leaping at my head and sinking his teeth into it. Talk about traumatic!
Glow in the dark casing sounds very cool, though I guess one would prefer to have no broken wings. Poor thing.
Your cat is gorgeous.
That plaster cast is very eye-catching . He can probably be seen on satellite photos !
Cat is very stylish and has the most beautiful coat. Glad to hear that life's returning to normal ...
For a male cat, thats the prettiest dam collar I have ever seen! ;) As for the children's ward. THE WORST PLACE TO SLEEP!! May your rest be peaceful now that you are home.
Sheesh. Where was the glow in the dark business when we were breaking wings? So pleased to hear that things sound a whole lot more settled at the Soups.
Hi, I hope I'm not out of line being one of those awful, paranoid don't-post-personal-stuff-on-the-internet people, but you can read the phone number on your cat's collar.
Sorry in advance if that's no biggie for you - I know some people don't mind :)
Sounds like everything is slowly on the mend there. As always, your pictures are gorgeous!
So glad to read that things are on the mend.
lovelovelove Yuki
Dear broken-wing boy. Such a clean cast! Wot no artwork, rude comments or autographs?
So glad things are getting back to normal. I shall not be showing Eldest, who occasionally has her legs cast, that green number. She would be very envious.
I can almost hear the purrs from here!
Hmm, I think I may be in line for one of those Burmese cats. Especially with the resident greyhound.
When I broke my arm, back in time, I had the usual plaster bandage one (it took two days for this to happen because my mother thought I was "bunging it on"!). The elbow part had to be renewed twice because it wore away as I sat at the table drawing and writing. I don't remember the drawing and writing bit, I DO remember not being able to go swimming. This was at the beginning of the Christmas school holidays in the Northern Territory. Torture!
Awww the cat is so pretty and handsome. I know what you mean about other kids in the ward making your own kid's health reason for being there not seem so bad!
