Lunch hour duck

Autumn mantelpiece.

good things today:

submitting the essay
learning that the scary lumps are benign cysts
cracking open the new Kate Atkinson which had been set aside as a post-essay treat

Such good things ( and major relief x2!)
May I submit another? a small one in comparison:
Such a lovely autumn mantle.
A stiff drink may be in order later, hmm?

What a great relief the essay and the medical news must have been, especially the latter!

From personal experience, I know how relieved you were with the medical good news.

I'm looking forward to reading the newest Kate Atkinson, too. Hoping my library request number comes up soon. I met KA on her first American book tour and she was lovely. Gosh that was ages ago.

Best wishes on the essay as well.

Oh! What a beautiful word benign is in that context.

Been there done that too with the cysts. The process of finding out is scary and uncomfortable. Well done on essay.

Very good things indeed. And did you ever imagine, when you were younger, that the day would come when you would be pleased to hear a dr say you have cysts? Lovely photos, as always.
