steel gingko leaves

More ginkgo leaves. I bought these at the school spring fair today. If you wet them and leave them outside, they gradually develop a beautiful rusty patina. I'll report back.

Caitlin bought a set too.

There's a spindly sort of gingko tree growing from an open square in the sidewalk outside my north-facing window.

Year by year it gets a little taller and some new strange branches develop. Over the decades I've had fun drawing its interesting appearance throughout all the seasons.

Right now its remaining leaves are a mix of some yellow-edged green and some tattery brown.

Do keep us posted on your gingko patina's progress.

Don't think Ive ever seen a ginko so ... I thought you'd been cutting fascinating shapes out of black latex . Now I want to see the patina grow .
Have been computer-free for a while ... technical illiteracy strikes again ... so will now rush to catch up . Your colours are always wonderful .

Yesterday we went to Boston Common and the ginkgo leaves were all over the ground. Thanks to you I knew what they were.
